Eric is the Director of the Audit & Assurance Services department and works with clients across a broad range of industries including construction, manufacturing, distribution, and non-profit. He leads the delivery of the firm’s services related to audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements, as well as audits of employee benefit plans.
At the inception of the firm, Eric knew he wanted to be part of a group that was dynamic, client-focused and team-oriented. His expertise and duties have grown in lockstep with Sponsel CPA Group. He is on the front line in managing client relationships and coaching junior staff, and he leads our recruiting team on college campuses.
He grew up working for his father, a third-generation business owner, and continued doing so throughout his college education. He cites that experience as a prime reason why he wanted to work for a firm that holds the entrepreneurial spirit in special regard.
Born in Liberty, Ind., Eric graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Management. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS), the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and is a graduate of United Way Leadership United. In the past, Eric received the INCPAS “Emerging Leaders Award.”
